A family run business
Here at Eildon View, we are a family run business of Mother and Daughter, Jane and Rhianna.
Like so many of the families we support, our lives have been shaped by the animals we’ve loved. Our beloved dog, Dookie, and our cats, Oscar, Gizmo and Cosmo, were all very much part of our family and remain close to our hearts.
Loving them and saying goodbye is one of the reasons which led us to our work. We understand how deeply pets are cherished so we are committed to offering gentle, respectful care at every step. When families come to us, they’re met not just with professionalism, but with genuine understanding from people who have been there too.
With a background knowledge gained from working in Pet Crematoriums prior to having our own combined with a positive customer service, we hope that you'll be confident and assured when you visit us.
We're situated between the picturesque towns of Melrose and Galashiels, we have strong connections to Hawick, Kelso, Jedburgh, Selkirk, and the surrounding areas of the Scottish Borders and northern England. With easy access to Edinburgh, the Lothians, and North and South Lanarkshire, we are nestled among some of the most stunning locations in the Scottish Borders.
Eildon View a purpose-built pet crematorium nestled amid greenery and wildlife with a beautiful view of the Eildons is surrounded by grazing horses in neighbouring fields. The tranquillity of such can help to ease the transition of saying goodbye.
~ To avoid any confusion, we are one of two independent pet crematoriums in the area. While we are located just a few miles apart, we operate separately and are not connected to each other ~
Our promise to you
Whether they be pet, companion or confidante, we promise that only an individual cremation will be provided.
We promise to provide you with the privacy, guidance and support in making informed choices and please be assured there is never a need to rush.
Some may choose not to visit the Crematorium and that's understandable, alternatives can be easily arranged.
We can collect from your home or from the vet's by arrangement.
We understand the heartache that comes with the loss of a pet. But we also know that every single person walking through our doors will have stories of fun, stories tinged with sadness and stories full of joys. We know the reason they have chosen to use our service is because of mutual love of their pet.
So, with pride, our promise to you is to provide a service and our assurance that you and your pet will continue to be treated with the same love, respect and care that you have shown through their life.
In memory of our boy 'Dookie'
Many of our clients knew our wee Dookie
He was rarely far away. Often nearby, sometimes supervising yet always quietly offering comfort in his own way. A gorgeous therapet, whether he meant to be or not.
We were blessed to have 4,133 days with Dooks but it will never feel enough. Loving him and losing him has given us a deeper understanding of what our families are going through - a depth of understanding that no training ever could.
We miss you every day Dooksie x
